My journey in health and social care began right on the frontline, delivering direct care and truly understanding what it means to support vulnerable individuals. This hands-on experience, coupled with roles in team leadership, trusted assessment, and even as Managing Director of a start-up recruitment agency, has given me a unique 360-degree view. From supported living to radiotherapy & oncology, learning disabilities, and virtual care tech – I've seen the sector's complexities firsthand, from the compassionate delivery of care to the strategic demands of profitability and sustainable growth.

What truly sets my approach apart, however, is my unwavering commitment to the human heart of care. I also serve as a Unison Union Representative. This unique position allows me to have meetings with staff, external to the organisation, where they can anonymously share their true pain points and challenges.
